Meet Julia and Daniel - The Talented Team in Nambour
What do you enjoy about your job?
Julia loves the variety of her role, ensuring each funeral is unique and personal. She takes the time to listen to families and tailor services to reflect the life and legacy of their loved ones. Living and working in Nambour allows her to maintain a strong connection with the community, supporting local families and honouring their loved ones in meaningful ways.
Daniel finds great meaning in helping families honour their loved ones by crafting tributes that highlight stories, achievements, and cherished memories. Whether through photo presentations, music, or personal displays, he ensures each farewell is heartfelt and authentic, capturing the essence of the person being remembered.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
Julia enjoys renovating her home, breathing new life into her 1960s cottage with its beautiful timber floors and casement windows. She cherishes time spent with her children, whether over brunch, dinner, or a friendly game of cards. Reading is one of her favourite pastimes, particularly works by Australian authors, and her latest passion is solo travel, with train journeys being her preferred way to explore new places, while Daniel enjoys watching sports, especially cheering on his son’s football games. He values quality time with family, whether relaxing together or taking their fur babies for walks along the stunning Sunshine Coast beaches. A lifelong cinema enthusiast, he enjoys seeing films on the big screen. Having recently travelled abroad, he is eager to continue exploring more of the world.
Are there any special community groups you work with or support?
Julia actively supports Zonta Club of the Blackall Range, Legacy, and the Nambour Community Centre, reinforcing her dedication to local community engagement. She is passionate about contributing to causes that uplift and strengthen the support available to families and individuals in need. On the other hand, Daniel has over 30 years of experience in the disability sector and continues assisting organisations whenever needed. Through his work at Drysdale Funerals, he also volunteers regularly at the Nambour Community Centre, helping with initiatives that support the local community. His commitment to helping others extends beyond his professional role, making a lasting impact on those around him.
I recently said goodbye to someone close to me. There was no time to think about which funeral home to choose, especially when you have no experience in preparing a funeral. I chose Drysdale Funerals in Nambour. It was a good choice because the people working here are very experienced and whole ceremony went very smoothly without any problems. I would like to thank the entire team of the funeral home on behalf of Marian's family, the guests present and myself. If anyone is planning a funeral ceremony, I highly recommend Drysdale Funerals in Nambour.

We have used Drysdale for both of my parents funerals and were very happy with their professional and personal approach. Daniel produced an amazing video tribute that really captured our parents special " love of a lifetime ". We would highly recommend their services. Daniel was sensitive, responsive and able to capture the essence of our Dad in every aspect of the funeral plan.
