Drsydale Funerals is proud to support the Biggest Morning TeaDrysdale Funerals Nambour invites local residents and workers to join them for a Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea from 9am-2pm on Thursday, May 19th.

Just place a gold coin donation in the long trail out the front of the chapel, and not only will you receive a cup of fresh, steaming hot tea or coffee, but you’ll also be helping the Cancer Council in their fight against cancer. In addition to Devonshire tea, a sausage sizzle will be held from 11am.

“Why not visit us on your way to work, before the school drop-off or on your lunch break,” said Christine Jones, Location Manager, Drysdale Funerals Nambour. “As well as a hot cup of tea or coffee, you’ll be entertained by a troupe of Mandala Dancers performing dancing styles from around the world.”

The 2011 Biggest Morning Tea’s celebrity Ambassadors include chefs Matt Moran, Adriano Zumbo, Tobie Puttock and Junior Masterchef’s Anna Gare. Each celebrity Ambassador has contributed recipes to support the fundraising efforts, which can be downloaded for free at www.biggestmorningtea.com.au.

The combined fundraising target for this year’s Biggest Morning Tea is $11 million, and Drysdale Funerals Nambour is aiming to make a significant contribution to the total. As well as refreshments, visitors are encouraged to buy a raffle ticket for the chance to win the major prize of accommodation at the Calypso Plaza at Coolangatta for four days and three nights, or the second prize of a hand-made quilt.

Further prizes are on offer for participants in the Royal Memorabilia Spectacular in Drysdale Funerals’ chapel. Simply bring along your royal memorabilia for display, and you could win a prize for the classiest piece – or the tackiest!

“Every cup counts,” said Christine Jones. “The money raised will help staff the Cancer Council helpline, train volunteers and fund research, education, support services and advocacy. It’s a great cause which Drysdale Funerals is proud to support, and your small contribution could make a big difference to the lives of people diagnosed with cancer.”

Drysdale Funerals is located at 33 National Park Road, Nambour. The Biggest Morning Tea will be held from 9am-2pm on Thursday, May 19th. For more information, please contact Christine Jones on 5441 1366. Everyone is welcome to attend.
