She has been in remission for around 15 years, and since 2003 she has been hosting morning teas that have gathered a dedicated following. These days it is not so strange for Drysdale Funerals to have several hundred people through its chapel for the community event and with each person making a donation to charity, the totals collected grow with each passing year.

To spice up proceedings Christine and her colleagues at Drysdale Funerals have plenty of ideas for making the day fun, relaxing and special. Christine and her colleagues have organised doggy parades, hosted fashion parades and had competitions including decorating novelty bras. Lucky door prizes and other gifts donated by local business ensure that there's always something of interest going on.
